A girl has no name

The poet has created her own Space & time, illusion & reality in the poetry collection, “A Girl Has no Name”. Sultana’s poems are searched for their themes not for their forms & patterns. Hence, it has been difficult to translate in the same poetic structures in English from original Bangla. However, these poems cannot be judged completely in the light of all classical poetic form. Though some images come cascading forth as if those similes or metaphors are in a fury with the society. For these, Sultana walks the roads for a word or solitude not for the state but for herself. The translations are free but the translator, Sarah, has tried to be faithful to the script of the original.
